Wow, it's been AGES since I've been on here...SORRY!! I'm just going to upload lots of before and after photos for you but all comments about these lovely creatures can be found on my Facebook & Instagram pages xXx
I was completely spoiled with kisses and cuddles from this beautiful girl. Little Bella came in for her "post lockdown" groom and isn't she just gorgeous! She was such a loving creature; I can't wait to see her again!
I don't know what it is about this little boy but he has snuggled deep in my heart! I just adore him! My little friend Bobby.
Lovely Millie came back today for another full groom and just like time, as long as held hands throughout most the groom, she was a happy pup!
To say I am proud of this little boy is an understatement. Little Trevor came back in to see if he'd brave a bath and a clip....and he did!! He really didn't like the dryer so we did a wet clip today but hopefully next time we'll work on the dryer a bit more and get him used to it. On his first visit I couldn't even lift him on the table without him being scared but today he let me put him in the bath and get him on the table. Amazing! It was definitely a feel good moment. His confidence is building. Trevor has earned his Scouts badge for bravery. Well done Trevor!
Oh my goodness; Bella! It's love! Bella (now known as Bella the Brave) came in to get her nails done. She is very nervous having her feet touched but she was so incredibly brave. Such a well behaved little lady!
Meet the beautiful Poppin. Little Poppin came in for his first ever groom today and he was amazing! Considering he's never been left with someone he didn't know and has never been to a grooming salon he did wonderfully. As long as we spent most of our time cuddling; he was happy. I couldn't decide which photo to use, so I chose them all!
This has been such a rewarding groom for me. Little Trevor (Trev to his friends) came in yesterday and he was ever so scared. He wouldn't really let me near him at the start so I decided to let him sit on the floor where he seemed most at ease and groom him there instead. We didn't get to the bath today but he did let me strip most of his coat which was wonderful for me as it meant he trusted me, even if it was just a little bit. He even gave me a little cuddle at the end. It's so important that the dogs feel at ease with me and in the studio that sometimes it's best to take a few sessions rather then doing everything on day one. It might take a few sessions with Trevor but I can't wait to see what happens on his next visit!
The beautiful Harvey came in for his puppy intro yesterday. We didn't do any grooming though, we just had lots of fun getting to know each other and we got Harvey used to his new environment. He did so well!
Mack has been so patient with our first month being so busy so we thought we'd treat him to a nice long walk. I just love that face!!
Well, for Mack's Pals, it's been a brilliant opening month. I've been lucky enough to meet some wonderful dogs and some lovely people and I'm looking forward to meeting more. Mack thought it would be a good idea to let you have a look around his studio. See you all soon xx I was lucky enough to have these beautiful girls in last week. Boo & Ava are mother and daughter and they love to be together. Both came in for a full groom and were wonderful to be around.
If there are any Schnauzer lovers out there, (or anyone who likes to read) one of my favourite books is called Following Atticus and it's a true story about the adventure of a Miniature Schnauzer. It's a great book! Little Alfie was frightened of having his nails done and wasn't too keen on being dried either, so with a little bit of patience, a smidge of of bravery from Alfie and a lot of love, we got there. Didn't he do so well!! What a lovely little boy!
So this little boy was amazing today. What a wonderful little creature. Our groom basically went like this:
"Eric, do you mind me touching your paws?" "Nope" "Eric, do you mind me clipping your nails?" "Nope" "Eric, do you mind getting in the bath?" "Nope" "Eric, do you mind any of the grooming process?" "Um...nope!" What a gent! The lovely Winston came in for a hand-strip, bath and tidy up. He wanted to keep his looks as natural as possible and doesn't he look stunning!
Button is a little rescue dog and was a bit nervous so we put a bit of Smooth FM on and he soon settled in
I know what you're going to say....I say they're all sweet and gentle.....but Mo really was. What a soft little creature!
Beautiful Ruby came back for a bath a tidy up. Doesn't she look wonderful! This is what happens though when you don't take the photo quick enough :-)
This is Keano who I have officially renamed Falkor. I find deshedding so satisfying; it always amazes me how much comes out!
This little boy came in for his full groom. He is 12 years old so we took plenty of breaks and had a couple of naps!
Look at that sad bath face! What a lovely boy Toby was. He really didn't like having his paws touched but who can blame him.
I think i could have photographed this little boy all day! What a beautiful little lion he is! Another good deshed....my favourite!
How cute are these two?! Both Molly & Angus wanted to keep their coats as long as possible so we bathed, clipped and tidied today. Cutesie!
